So if you are not familiar with my blog, I this is the original post about my New York based OK Cupid experiment:
http://lovesexxromance.blogspot.com/2011/11/ok-cupid-experiment-female-interested.html
Basically, if you select "casual sex" as one of the things you are interested in finding, like so:
you will see a dramatic increase in the number of visitors/messages than you would get with the same profile, minus the "casual sex" part. This isn't too surprising.
When I re-did this experiment in San Francisco, the results were the same... EXCEPT I received messages from two married guys!

OK Cupid Login
It has been weeks since I've logged into my OK Cupid profile.
I'm flaky like that.
Today I was thinking a lot about how long it has been since I have been in a relationship. While I do miss it, and I hope it isn't tooooo much more time before the next (ie on the order of many years...) I am OK being single right now. Obviously, I'd be open to dating.... but... there are so many things about my own life that I need to organize. The good news is I am making progress on that front.
Anyways, the purpose of this post is to record my behavior while assessing an OK Cupid profile.

Rape Culture, It's Time For a Change

This comment summarizes my thoughts on the matter of the Steubenville rape case, as well as the reason I hope you will take a few moments to sign this and pass it along to your friends. Thank you.
The petition is still a few thousand signatures short.
What is particularly disturbing/infuriating is that the video depicts the very attitude that’s responsible for casual rape being as common as it is (and it’s VERY common). Young boys need to realize that this kind of thinking is UNACCEPTABLE morally and in the eyes of the law. Given the national publicity that this trial has attracted, letting him get away with his crime (he knew what happened, and anyone with half a brain knows that) letting him get away with his actions without having to face legal consequences would be very irresponsible. It would send the message that it wasn’t really a big deal, and that line of thinking is EXACTLY what needs to change!
